About

Carlie Wall – Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist

From then to now

Carlie Wall is a remarkable singer-songwriter and guitarist whose musical journey began at the young age of 9 when she first picked up a guitar. By 13, she had already written and released her debut album, launching a career grounded in raw talent, heartfelt storytelling, and an unmistakable voice. Every song on all her albums has been penned solely by her, showcasing her deeply personal and authentic approach to music.

Carlie’s songwriting has garnered her multiple first-place awards, including a prestigious win representing Utah in the Colgate Country Showdown, which led her to the regional finals in Coos Bay, Oregon. Her voice has also made a lasting impact in commercial work, most notably as the featured singer for the 15-year-running "Dixie Direct" radio ad in St. George, Utah.

Throughout her career, Carlie has collaborated with many talented artists, including a powerful operatic duet of "The Prayer" with Nathan Osmond at Tuacahn Amphitheatre. She has recorded at the iconic 17th Street Studios in Santa Monica, California—home to legendary acts like Sublime and Sugar Ray—and has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers.

Carlie has headlined shows across the western United States, from the beaches of Hawaii to the deserts of Arizona, the lights of Las Vegas, the stages of Utah, and the coastlines of Oregon. Between the ages of 13 and 17, she toured extensively with her full band, and now, at 29, she is making a bold and passionate return to the stage.

Her upcoming album marks a fresh chapter—an evolution in sound and spirit. With rich, emotional songwriting and the addition of violin and cello, Carlie’s new music pays tribute to love, truth, and vulnerability. The first single is set to be released this summer on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.

Carlie Wall is back—and she's bringing music that moves.

From Open Mic to 'Ocean'

Every band has a story—a moment when separate paths collide to create something bigger than each individual. For us, that story began with a leap of faith, a spark of courage, and the undeniable pull of music.

It started with me, Carlie Wall, feeling the nudge from Spirit to fully embrace the gifts I had been given. I told myself: “If I start now, my entire life will look different in a year.”

That decision led me to an open mic night at Blues Katz Rock n Roll Grill, a local spot known for welcoming musicians of all kinds. It had been years since I performed live, and to my surprise, I was nervous—strange for someone who had once performed in front of thousands at just 14 and 15 years old. But Spirit reminded me: “If you’re afraid of it, that’s exactly why you need to do it.”

So I went.

After my set, I stepped off the stage and was immediately approached by a guy who introduced himself as Miles. His first words were: “I am a violinist.” Without hesitation, I replied: “I NEED a violinist!”

As fate would have it, Miles had recently connected with a cellist named Lance, someone he’d met at the very same open mic. My response? “I need a cellist, too!”

That was the beginning.

Within just a couple of months, the three of us—Miles, Lance, and myself—came together and started shaping my music into something new, alive with orchestral energy woven into heartfelt songwriting. In only three months, we’ve been in the studio recording, filming our first music video, and even being featured on St. George News for their “Paper Jamz” segment, sponsored by Cloud 9, one of Southern Utah’s most recognized businesses.

It all happened so fast, yet it felt divinely timed. Every step revealed another opportunity, another open door, another reminder that we were exactly where we needed to be.

Now, we’re preparing to release our debut single, “OCEAN,” on September 25, 2025 across all major platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. To celebrate, we’re hosting a Single Release Party on Saturday, November 8th—an event we’ve poured our hearts into creating for our community, friends, and supporters.

We’ve also been blessed with incredible sponsors who have supported us along this journey, helping us turn dreams into reality. But more than anything, this band has become a family. I’m endlessly grateful for my brothers and bandmates—Miles and Lance—who make this journey three times better simply because they’re walking it with me.

God is good. Music is magic. And this is just the beginning.

With love,
Carlie

The story behind 'Ocean' an original song written by Carlie Wall.

“Ocean” was written in the spring of 2023, about seven months after one of the most painful and disorienting breakups I had ever experienced. In the aftermath of that heartbreak, I unexpectedly connected online with another musician. What began as a simple exchange of messages quickly grew into a deep connection that carried a powerful, emotional weight.

As the months went on, I noticed how much of my sense of worth and happiness depended on this new person’s attention. My mood often rose and fell based on something as small as a text message. That realization hit me hard—it revealed how much healing I still had to do, healing I hadn’t even recognized was necessary.

In that moment of awareness, I made a choice: to step back, redirect my energy, and commit to choosing myself. At the time, I was living with family, but I knew I needed solitude to process the emotions stirring inside me. So I went out to my car, gave myself space, and poured everything into writing. In less than an hour, “Ocean” was written and recorded—raw, unfiltered, and overflowing with the emotions I needed to release. (You can still find the original video on my Facebook and Instagram—it’s the one where I’m sitting in my car.)

Fast forward to the spring of 2025: I finally met that same connection in person for the very first time. Today, we’re in a loving, committed relationship. Life has a beautiful way of coming full circle when you learn to trust the process.

The heart of this story is simple yet profound: if you want to experience true, unconditional love, you must first learn to give it to yourself. Choosing self-love creates the energy that draws more of it into your life. Trust yourself. Trust love.

With love,
Carlie
